What does eyebrow technician insurance with Ripe cover?

What's covered

  • Treatment risk cover

Protects your liability against third-party claims for injury or property damage following beauty treatments up to the value of £3m. 

  • Public and Products Liability

Up to £10m of cover is included as standard and can protect you against third-party claims for injury or property damage.

What's not covered

  • Working abroad

Policyholders working in the UK can only be covered. Claims brought in from another country cannot be covered

  • Treatments involving the use of injections

Cover will not be included for any treatment involving the use of injections, alongside a list of specifically excluded treatments.

  • Injury or property damage to models

Teaching cover does not include this, as students must have their own insurance to protect their liability.

  • Closure due to disease

Any business interruption, due to disease outbreaks classified as pandemics by the World Health Organisation, cannot be covered.

  • Theft from unattended and unlocked vehicles

Theft from unattended vehicles unless all points of access are locked or the vehicle is stolen at the same time, cannot be covered.

  • Legal cases with a low chance of winning

There must be a 51% chance of winning the case or achieving a positive outcome for us to cover legal costs.

  • Exclusions to buildings, shop front, and contents cover

Includes wear and tear, manufacturing faults, vermin, or inherent defects, alongside theft and escape of water if the salon has not been occupied for 30 consecutive days.

  • Exclusions to money cover

Includes theft from employees if not reported to the police within 7 days and theft from an unattended vehicle.  

What's optional

  • Contents, stock, and shop front cover

You can cover your contents, stock, shop front, fixtures, and fittings up to a combined value of £250k.

  • Employers’ liability

This cover protects your liability following illness or injury to an employee up to the value of £10m.

  • Buildings cover

Up to £500k of cover is provided for your salon’s building, including any outbuildings, walls, gates, and fences.

  • Teaching cover

Provides cover for compensation sought following a negligent act in respect of providing teaching services where you have received a fee.

  • Money cover

You can cover the theft of money from your business up to the value of £2,500.

  • Business interruption

Covers loss of turnover or the additional costs of keeping your business running up to the value of £500k if you cannot trade.

  • Legal cover

You can select up to £100k of cover for costs incurred from defending or pursuing a claim for a range of legal issues.
