Why do you need Equipment cover for your guitar?

We understand guitars and their accessories can be very expensive. Therefore, it would be devastating on both a financial and sentimental level if they were lost, damaged or stolen.

That’s why you need Equipment cover, so that if anything were to happen to your guitar, either at home or whilst out and about, you wouldn’t have to pay for repairs or replacements out of your own pocket.

Our Equipment cover ensures your gear can be repaired or replaced with as little hassle as possible. This way, you can get back to playing as soon as possible.

What guitars do we insure?

We cover every type of guitar available. From steel guitars to ukuleles, we can protect it.

  • Guitarists can cover their equipment against theft, loss and damage. We’ll pay for repairs or replacements up to the figure stated in your Insurance Schedule.
  • If an item is less than three years old – and was bought new – we’ll replace it New-for-Old. We also cover laptops which are less than 18 months old and were bought new.

Why do you need Public Liability insurance?

If you play live, most venues won’t allow you on stage without Public Liability insurance. And the last thing you want is to show up for a gig and be told you can’t go on stage.

You need Public Liability insurance if you accidentally injure someone else or damage property when performing and a claim is made against you.

By having Public Liability insurance, you don’t have to pay any legal fees or expenses out of your own pocket. So, for instance, if someone trips over an amplifier lead and hurts themselves, you know you’ll be covered.

With our quick and easy online application, you can have your Public Liability insurance certificate sent straight to your phone, meaning you’ll never miss a gig.

  • Our Public Liability cover starts at £1 million.
  • You also get £1 million Professional Indemnity cover FREE when you take out our Public Liability, protecting you against claims that occur from any negligent advice or instructions you’ve given.

Why do you need Performance cover?

If you injure yourself and can’t work or earn money, or your guitar needs to be repaired or replaced, you need a back-up plan.

That’s where our Performance cover comes in. This includes Loss of Earnings cover of up to 52 weeks, meaning you can receive financial support if an injury during a performance results in you being unable to attend your usual work or perform for long periods.

On top of this, we provide Equipment Breakdown cover in case electronic equipment fails and Equipment Hire so you can hire temporary equipment whilst your equipment is going through an insurance claim in order to be repaired or replaced.

Why do you need Worldwide cover?

If you’re playing a gig overseas, or simply taking your guitar on holiday – it needs to be protected against theft, loss and damage. You also need to stay protected should you have an accident.

That’s why we offer Worldwide cover for up to 180 days a year as an extension of your UK cover, to allow you to share your passion with the rest of the world.

Why do you need Personal Accident cover?

If you’re performing live, you need Personal Accident cover to ensure you receive compensation if you’re seriously injured. If, for example, you trip over a cable and seriously hurt yourself, it’s important that you have support in place.

Our Personal Accident cover provides compensation if you have an accident whilst using music, entertainment, sound or lighting equipment. This way, the financial impact of serious injuries is kept to a minimum.

  • We provide up to £30,000 Personal Accident cover.
  • We cover death, loss of limbs, loss of sight and permanent disablement, meaning you’re protected for even the worst-case scenarios.
