Scotland

#1 - Haven Seton Sands Holiday Park, Port Seton

Seton Sands Holiday Park views the iconic Forth Railway Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it one of the most unique Haven caravan parks.

With acres of soft sand and scenic views, the on-site beach is not to be missed. There is also an indoor heated pool and numerous activities such as Bungee Trampoline and Archery Coaching to keep the kids entertained.

Parents can let off some steam at the fishing lake or nine-hole golf course that overlooks the sea.

#2 - Parkdean Resorts Tummel Valley, Pitlochry

As far as family-friendly amenities go, Tummel Valley provides everything you could wish for. From an all-weather sports court to a heated indoor pool and sauna, there's always something to keep you busy.

The site is located at the foot of Tay Forest Park in a glorious woodland setting, giving you a choice of scenic walks if they're something you want to experience during your staycation.

#3 – Blairgowrie Holiday Park, Blairgowrie

Set right in the heart of Perthshire, Blairgowrie Holiday Park prides itself on providing an action-packed staycation.

From golf and fishing to extreme sports and 4x4 experiences, various activities are situated nearby. Not only this, but you could be coming back to your own luxury lodge with a hot tub if you opt for one of their static holiday homes.

#4 – Loch Lomond Holiday Park, Inveruglas

As one of the most visited destinations in Scotland, Loch Lomond Holiday Park is not to be missed. It provides breath-taking scenery within the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and various hiking trails.

You can relax in a luxury hot tub or hire a kayak and experience the loch for yourself. There's also an outdoor children's play area, which is nice considering the remote location.

Wales 

#1 – Ffrith Beach Touring Caravan Park, Denbighshire

Ffrith Beach Touring Caravan Park is ideal if you're looking to get out in your own holiday home this half term. It has all the on-site facilities you need, from live entertainment to a ten-pin bowling alley.

With direct access to a sandy beach and dunes, as well as a promenade to stroll along and numerous cycle paths, it's the perfect location for families who want to explore the glorious Welsh coastline.

#2 – Barmouth Bay Holiday Park, Snowdonia

Only a 40-minute drive away from Snowdonia National Park, this caravan site provides the perfect getaway for those up to the challenge of climbing Snowdon.

It's right on the coast, so it really is the best of both worlds if you want sea views and scenic walks. Plus, the indoor heated pool, outdoor sports court and playground mean there's lots of fun to be had on-site.

#3 – Parkdean Resorts Brynowen, Aberystwyth

Thanks to the brilliant attractions nearby, staying at Brynowen Holiday Park makes for an action-packed holiday. To name a few, there's:

When you come back to your caravan after a long day, you can dine at The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant before enjoying some evening entertainment. There are also a variety of takeaways, including Costa Coffee.

The multi-sports court, amusement arcade, indoor pool, and water slide means that there's plenty to do if you get unlucky with the weather.

#4 – Pencnwc Holiday Park, New Quay

Pencnwc Holiday Park is the ultimate getaway for families who want a range of facilities paired with the feeling of being out of the way.  

It has an indoor heated swimming pool, football playing field, fishing lake, games room, restaurant, live entertainment, and multiple children's play areas. You can even take a day trip to explore Powis Castle and its rich history.

While the quaint village of New Quay is quite a stretch on foot, it's a short drive away from the site and has a sandy beach comparable with those abroad.  

England

#1 – Harrogate Caravan Park

Overlooking the Crimple Valley this is one of the most sought-after touring caravan sites in Yorkshire. It's conveniently located near Harrogate, York, and Leeds, making it a great destination for those looking to explore these cities alongside their visit to the countryside.

Harrogate has previously been voted one of the 'happiest places to live in Britain', which speaks volumes about its character and the attractions it offers.

There are fantastic walks nearby, including the Seven Bridges Valley Walk and The Yorkes Of Bewerley Trial.

#2 – Wold Farm Caravan and Camping Site, Flamborough

It's no secret that Flamborough is famous for its puffin population. Wold Farm Caravan and Camping Site provide direct access to Bempton Cliffs, so you can view these spectacular birds in their natural habitat.

The site itself has everything you need for touring, from modern toilet and shower facilities to a chemical disposal point. It's rated Excellent on Tripadvisor for a reason!

The neighbouring town of Bridlington is well worth a visit with its long stretch of beach, pre-Roman harbour, and characterful Old Town.

#3 –  Middlewood Farm Holiday Park, Whitby

Robin Hood's Bay had to be included on our list of dream caravan staycations. Better still, Middlewood Farm Holiday Park itself is an award-winning place to stay.

The park is a mere 10-minute walk from the main beach and 15-minute drive from Whitby— another historic seaside town that was once allegedly home to Captain Cook.

#4 – Lowther Holiday Park, Penrith

Penrith is a great base for exploring the eastern Lake District, with famous walks such as Gowbarrow Fell, Riggindale Beck, and Aira Force just a stone's throw away.

Keswick and Derwentwater are a 29-minute drive away from the site, making it popular with holidaymakers who want to explore this famous market town and stroll along the lake.  

On the park itself, you'll find a games room, outdoor play area, picnic areas, dog walking areas, and a pub/restaurant, so there's plenty to do when you return from a family outing.

#5 – Avon Wood Holiday Home Park, Lake Windermere

Avon Wood Holiday Home Park is a great contender if you're after an indulgent holiday in the Lakes this half-term. Opt for one of their static caravans, and you'll have your own hot tub to enjoy when you're not walking the peaks of Cumbria.

The site offers tranquillity by being small and off the beaten track. Yet, it's based near the popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere, so civilisation is still within your reach.

#6 – Sandyholme Holiday Park, Dorset

Chasing the sun this half term? While it's never guaranteed in February, there's no better place to improve your chances than on England's sunshine coast.

Sandyholme Holiday Park is just 7 miles from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, Dorset's most notable attractions. There are various coastal and woodland walks nearby, and the seaside resort of Weymouth is just a 15-minute drive away.

The site won the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award in 2020, making it a great choice for those passionate about the environment.

#7 – Seaview Holiday Park, Dorset

The outdoor heated pool at Seaview Holiday Park gives you that feeling of holidaying abroad. It's what makes this site shine, and it's regularly praised by customers on TripAdvisor.

If you're looking for a lively February half-term holiday location close to the main attractions in Dorset, you'll find that in Seaview. It has the most amenities out of all the parks on our list and truly has something for everyone.

#8 – Hendra Holiday Park, Newquay

February half-term caravan holidays always carry the risk of rain, but the Oasis Fun Pools at Hendra Holiday Park mean there's always a backup plan.

The beautiful coast of North Cornwall is on your doorstep, so you can hit the beach when the sun comes out. Plus, the town of Newquay is known as the surfing capital of England for a reason – where else can you find twelve sandy beaches to choose from?

#9 – Haven Perran Sands, Perranporth

Are surfing, snorkelling, or sailing on the agenda for your caravan staycation? When Perranporth is an option, there's no better place for an action-packed beach holiday in the UK.

Haven Perran Sands offers a direct coastal pathway to the main beach and various activities to get involved with on-site. They have an indoor pool and flume to retreat to if you're unlucky with the weather, but also a Surf School to help you catch some waves when it's sunny.
