Here are the top 10 dog friendly caravan parks across the UK, which go above and beyond to make it an amazing experience for both you and your canines. We’ve included parks in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England, so there’s something for everyone.

1. Whitby Holiday Park (Whitby, Yorkshire)

Situated in North Yorkshire, Whitby Holiday Park is perched on a cliff top overlooking the North Sea and Whitby Abbey.

With a café, family club and bar featuring evening entertainment, plus an amusement room and a shop, you’re spoilt for choice. If this isn’t enough, you can take a day trip to Saltwick Bay, or walk the stunning Cleveland Way coastal path which is accessible from the park. Dogs are welcome for a small fee too.

The park has grass pitches and 16-amp electric hook-ups. The area has a toilet and shower block, but you also have access to all the park facilities.

 

2. Trossachs Holiday Park (Stirling, Scotland)

This park is perfectly positioned to explore the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Trossachs Holiday Park boasts its own dog walking area, a games room, an outdoor play area and coffee shop. You can bring the whole family – including your pooch.

The touring caravan pitches are fully serviced and hard standing. Each pitch contains its own electric hook-up, fresh water connection, wastewater drainage and a TV hook-up point. And let’s not forget the stunning views across the Campsie Fells. There’s also plenty of space for an awning – which you might be grateful for, given the weather.

 

3. Castleton Caravan Club Site (Peak District, Derbyshire)

A huge draw of this park is the beautiful setting of the Peak District National Park, as well as its accessibility. Castleton village is just a short walk away, and there you’ll find traditional pubs (most of which are dog friendly too) and a bakery.

The park itself welcomes dogs with open paws, offering a dog walking area and a dog washing area. Although there aren’t many activities on offer in the park itself, you have plenty of options within the immediate vicinity. These include rock climbing, horse riding, game fishing, golf and mountain biking.

Unfortunately for some, this park is only open to members. You can become a member for as little as £54 per year with no joining fee.

It has 92 touring electric and hardstanding pitches with or without an awning. Facilities include a dishwashing area, big shower block, family washroom, gas and an electric hook-up.

 

4. Seafield Caravan Park (Seahouses, Northumberland)

If you’re looking for a luxurious, pet friendly caravan holiday in the North East, the idyllic Seafield Park is the place for you.

Set in the centre of Seafield village on the beautiful Northumberland coast, this park will make you feel relaxed the minute you arrive.

Guests have access to The Ocean Club leisure complex, where you can work out in the fitness suite or unwind in the swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna. It’s pet friendly and the onsite coffee shop is dog friendly too.

Seafield has roomy pitches coupled with mains water, electric, sewerage and drainage as standard, as well as full use of the shower and toilet facilities.

 

5. Coed-Y-Llwyn Caravan Club Site (Gwynedd, Wales)

You definitely won’t get bored at this caravan park.

It’s situated by the stunning Snowdonia National Park and there are plenty of things for you to do.  You can climb Snowdon play a round of golf or go on the longest zip lines in Europe at Zip World.

Coed-Y-Llwyn is pet friendly with a dog walk on site and there’s a play area for children. If you’re looking for a good deal, it sometimes has an offer on that allows kids to stay for £1 a night.

Choose from hardstanding or grass electric pitches with or without an awning. Facilities include an electric hook-up, gas, gold rating WiFi if you need to stay connected, baby changing facilities, family washroom and laundrette.

 

6. Haw Wood Farm Caravan Park (Saxmundham, Suffolk)

If you heading to Suffolk for a break with your family, you’ll have fun at Haw Wood Farm.

There’s a kids playground to keep the kids occupied and you can keep an eye on them from the sites café. Walberswick Beach is close by, as are many beautiful coastal towns, pubs, cafes, restaurants and bike trails.

The caravan park is 14 acres and encompassed by an abundance of woodland and flowers. It’s no surprise, therefore, it has a David Bellamy Golf Award for Conservation. If that’s not enough for your dog, it also has a dedicated dog walking field.

There are spacious fully serviced hardstanding pitches, coupled with drainage water and electricity. The park also boasts clean, modern family bathrooms, laundry room and shop.

 

7. Ballyness Caravan Park (Co Antrim, Northern Ireland)

This Gold Award-winning environmental caravan park has a lot to offer and is ideal for a break with the whole family.

The large landscaped grounds contain a play area, football field, games and TV room and wildlife ponds. Plus, the park has a dedicated dog walking area, perfect for your furry friend.

You won’t be short of things to do outside of the park, either. It’s located in the North Antrim countryside, only a few minutes from the famous Giant’s Causeway.

There are fifty spacious hardstand touring pitches with individual electric, water and drainage hook-ups. Facilities include wet room style showers, toilet facilities, dishwashing facilities and constant hot water.

 

8. Wheal Rodney Holiday Park (Marazion, Cornwall)

Wheal Rodney Holiday Park is a family-run park  surrounded by beautiful walks.

It’s not far from the beach and St Michael’s Mount is nearby (dogs can’t go up, though). But if you’d prefer to relax and fancy a dip, there’s an indoor swimming pool.

It’s suitable for dogs, but only a limited number of pets are permitted on-site. So, you need to book early and let them know in advance if you’re bringing your dog.

There are grassed pitches which measure 9x8m on average and all of them come with electric hook-up as standard. You’ll have access to a facilities block which has free power showers, along with a washing up and laundry area (charges apply for the washing machines/driers).

 

9. Blair Castle Caravan Park (Perthshire, Scotland)

Where better to stay in Scotland than by the Cairngorms National Park? Explore around 9 acres of open space and experience panoramic mountain views from the park, or venture out on the off-road cycling trails or walking trails with your dog.
